How can you help.

The more people that can leave their memories of Wanstead, the more information I can put on to the web site. I am especially looking for photos of Wanstead, its buildings and its people. For example, you may have taken a photo of a family occasion in the restaurant at the George. Your picture might be the only one that can be found that shows the inside of a building. No matter how insignificant you feel your contribution is, please get in touch.

One resource that I would love to develop is that of home cine footage or video. Have you film of school sports days that might show teachers, or a glimpse of a building now demolished? Maybe you filmed a special event. If so, get in touch.

Some people have asked what time span this website is concerned with. To me all aspects of Wanstead need recording from all times. The Sixties, Seventies and Eighties all need to be preserved as well as the more distant past. There might be a bias towards the Seventies at times, as my own memories are from growing up then.

Any one can help, Wanstead resident past or present. Of course you may know someone who would like to contribute that doesn't have Internet access. They could of course write their information and send it in.
